Chad’s 1% happier every day. Until of course, he plays the SEC West schedule, and after that... he’s going to be very unhappy! I’ll be there to witness his first Saban thrashing!

Dorian Gerald No. 1 JUCO DE in the Country signs with Arkansas. Had 9 SEC offers- pretty much every top program in the South. Stole this one from right under JUMBOs nose as just about every 247 recruiting analyst thought he was going to Texas A&M https://247sports.com/Player/Dorian-Gerald-86700

...but not the #1 DE in the country, as you previously (and inaccurately) stated...

Huge get for Chad and Arkansas. Nobody will out work him on the recruiting trail but, he has a tough road to hoe in the SEC West. Wins will be tough to come by in conference. The rivalry between T A&M and Arkansas will definitely be up a notch. And, if Chad beats Jimbo on 9/29 the Aggie fans will be livid. I'll be cheering for both to lose that one somehow.

There is an article today in the Arkansas Democrat Gazette listing the reasons(excuses) for the low ranking in Arkansas’ recruiting as compared to the other new SEC coaches.
Biggest surprise is that they have not yet blamed it on officials but I would think they are still trying to figure out how to work that in.

Not sure if it's true, but I heard his wife and son are staying in the Park Cities.
Glad he stole a good recruit from Aggy.

Look - he isn't trying to win over a bunch of sophisticated SMU students who spring in Cabo and summer in aspen. He's going after generally speaking not so bright football players. They eat this stuff up. He will recruit better but the results won't be much different because the SEC west is murderers row - if you can't beat Memphis on even ground I doubt Alabama is going to go well.
