Nice spicy sauce on it. Will take you by surprise if not ready for it. But it’s a delicious sandwich.

Re: Burger wars, re-visitedTaco Diner has a sneaky good burger.
As for a Cuban, Uncle Ubers in Deep Ellum.
Re: Burger wars, re-visited
I love gorging on tacos though. Might have to try the burger sometime. Shake It Off Moody
Re: Burger wars, re-visitedThe Taco Diner burger is terrific.
Re: Burger wars, re-visitedDoes anyone know - is the Goff's Hamburger that is opening in the strip center on Mockingbird (with the SMU bookstore) the same Goff's that burned down on Hillcrest or is it the "other" Goff's that is actually owned by original owner Harvey Goff?
Regardless, I plan to check it out soon and report back. "Moral Victories Make Me Sick" - TR
Re: Burger wars, re-visited
Check it out. Hopefully, it's not the same outfit. The torched Hillcrest location was a neat place but the food was dreadful.
Re: Burger wars, re-visitedGoff's is BACK! Had their "soft" reopening yesterday - and the lines were out the door all day long. Happy day!
Don't worry. Be Happy. Or not.
Re: Burger wars, re-visitedIs the food any good or are they just trading on the Goff's name? Previous goffs was not good.
Re: Burger wars, re-visited
If you liked the Goffs on Hillcrest - you will like this one (and vice versa). Exact same food. "Moral Victories Make Me Sick" - TR
Re: Burger wars, re-visitedI only went to the old one once. I'll try it again in the fall.
Re: Burger wars, re-visitedI have been following this thread from the beginning and have enjoyed trying most all of the burgers suggested in Dallas - one of the best I have had (in my top 5) is the Italian burger at Prego’s on Greenville (near University) -
Re: Burger wars, re-visitedI never even guessed they have a burger. Got to try it.
Rise up, Mustang Nation!
Go SMU!
Re: Burger wars, re-visited
I often wondered how that Pregos place stayed in business all of these years. It was always stuck there between sketchy law firms, strip clubs, Billiard Halls, etc. "Moral Victories Make Me Sick" - TR
Re: Burger wars, re-visitedI took the family to Chicken Scratch on Saturday for dinner. I had the Chicken Fried Cheeseburger. Do not, under any circumstances, order it.
Derail the Frogs!
Re: Burger wars, re-visitedEver heard of Pints & Quarts?
Neither had I. Drinks are OK. Burger is ... not. Don't go.
