Big ouch. Hopefully the rehab will go well and a RS year will help.

"He'd thrown for 2,000-plus yards and ran for nearly 500 years with 25 total touchdowns in 2017."

That's a whole lot of running.
"Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."

Five hundred years is a lot of running for only 25 touchdowns.

That sucks for him, but I don't hate him not having a monster senior year and being a recruiting target for others, and then finishing rehab work with SMU medical staff.

Implying that you wanted him to get hurt is stupid. But you have said other stupid things before Corso. We don’t know how he will recover. Some athletes never get back to what they were when they have these type of injuries.

The 4 star DB we got after OU passed on him following a SR year knee injury comes to mind. Don't remember him ever being much of a factor at SMU but I think he did play again.

In all situations like Gipson's I hope first of all that the surgery and rehabilitation makes it possible for the athlete to walk and move about in future life without pain. If he can play ball again and wants to, good. If he gets back to his former level, better. Doesn't matter if the player in question is one of our own or TCU's, or Alabama's, or Notre Dame's, whoever.

In no way do I want him or anyone else to get hurt, and if it came across that way I'm sorry. That was not my intent. Of course I want to see him healthy, regardless of football.
