If I am way off tell me. But my impression is the priority for the reseat was for the IPF. The school kept going back to Big dollar alums for money for IPF and the booster said, "you want xx million dollars and I'm sitting 10 rows back in section 209."

No offense to section 209.

New Big dollar donors fell asleep at the wheel and little guys like us had more priority points and got great seats originally for new Moody. Maybe it was seven years of 250 people at a Robo Doh game. Remember the $500 meatballs?

Once SMU accidentally fell into a top-25 program - they all wanted in, inadvertently priceing us out -and guess what they have now? NADA. We were louder rowdier crazier noisier. You got what you deserved.

OTP is right. It had nothing to do with the IPF.

You most likely could have kept your same or similar seats (maybe even improved) at the same dollar donation level. Shrug.

I'm sure some did, others did not.

Yes but we're all rehashing this - what fool would pay for something that you're not guaranteed to get.

Well, same monies as past 5 years, 30+ continuous years of Mustang Club, season FB tix (2), 19 years of Blvd space, 20+ years of continuous B-ball tix (2), etc. Was re-seated. No too much of a step down but... Just not very good long-term thinking.

considering my seats of the last 5 yrs are now empty every game, I am very happy with my decision. Now, I can just buy rafter tickets for $5 to any game I want to go to and sit in my old sits if I choose.

Got mine as well. Impressive. Timing is certainly good, I can't even hardly remember the layup we missed for a bowl game or the fail vs the toads on Wednesday. The message was great. Our successes for the year included the men's soccer team championship and the conference-leading GPA for both men's and women's swimming and diving. A powerhouse 1 - 2 marketing punch if there ever was one.

I love a good rally of the torches as much as the next guy, and love all of you guys...that said, had the donor guide not been to mailboxes by the end of the first week of the last calendar month of the year, that'd be fundraising department malpractice.

Same with tickets..if there is inventory to sell (the reasons for existing inventory notwithstanding), if there was zero effort put forth to sell that inventory, that would similarly be ticket sales department malpractice.
