From USAToday, SMU receives a "C" for the season. Agree? How about our peers' grades?

Beat Tulsa and it would have been B+, with that loss I would venture to say C-.

I think a C is too kind. I honestly had the take of D+. We had I believe 2 chances to go bowling and we just shot ourselves in the foot both times.

Started with an F, got an A for a good run of games mid season, closed with a D. So I think C is about right.

Not sure one game is worthy of almost a two letter swing.

As making a bowl game should be the expectation at SMU, I agree with a C- grade. A B+ would have required winning both the Cincinnati and Tulsa games along with a bowl game.

since more than half of FBS schools go to Bowls-schools that don't shouldn't be higher than a C

That all depends on success relative to reasonable expectations. For instance, if a team was expected to go one and 11 and finishes five and seven, that’s a pretty good season.
