It is a valid point but I remember what NBA Hall of Famer Bill Russell once said that there are only enough shots in a game for three players and, I know it is a generalization, but this often reflected in in a team's game stats. Some players simply have a hot hand at a particular time; scoring stats become more meaningful, for instance, if a player is shooting 2 for 15 from behind the arc and 4 for 11 from the free-throw line.

Please correct me if I am wrong...
Does McNeil sit out a year and then have two years to play?

Probably, although it is possible he plays 2 without sitting out a year.

No answer to this right away and no guarantee on the waiver. For that reason I like trying to get Admon Gilder here. Tons of big time experience and he plays right away. Plus we’d get his slot back for a ‘20-21 recruit. I see him as a big time upgrade from Dixon.

Gilder would be a real coup on court and to help balance the roster!

Reading McNiels info is seems as though he has a pretty good case for a hardship waiver on his transfer.
