He graduated HIGH SCHOOL in 2013 ... ouch.

Can't have too many recruiters.

This may be one of the best moves by Dykes. This isn't just "another WR coach".

Samples was an All American at Skyline before going to OK state and transferred to coog high when Herman went there. Since being an assistant at UT he has spearheaded the Dallas recruiting pipeline for the horns.

His last name might ring a bell to those that follow TX HS FB. His dad is Reginald Samples - the head coach at Duncanville for the last 25 years...

I like Dykes. Really think he is putting down roots and is planning for long term success... How about a winning football tradition on the Hilltop.

See you in Jonesboro!

This appears to be an excellent addition to SMU and a big loss for Texas.

Aren't we jumping the gun with the assumption that he is the new WRs coach? Gru is still there. Maybe one of them assumes the mysterious "analyst" role?

Whatever the title, welcome to SMU

He was an analyst at UT I think and we gave him a promotion to an on-field coaching role. He won't be an analyst here. My guess is one of them is the outside receivers coach and one of them inside receivers coach.

The initial link stated, in the web address (not the article), receivers coach. It no longer says that. I presumed they knew something. But you know what they say, "When you presume it make a pre out of u and me" or something to that effect.
