I think it illustrates that because of the ego involved, offensive players are much more likely to transfer than defensive players.
The upper tier AAC teams can finish middle of the pack in a P5 conference because of the offensive fire power provided by transfers. Defenses lag behind.
It puts the great UCF team that Frost created into context because that defense was phenomenal.
It is a pattern that bears watching. SMU is obviously counting on a significant number of GTs on the defensive side of the ball. It will be awesome if/when we get that, because it runs against the tide.
