Re: Transfers15th Stanford player to enter transfer portal-RB Trevor Spreights and he's the 3rd from Texas-all 3 from the same class so they are probably best friends with their Texas roots. Also some extensive quotes from Michael Williams concerning the reasons. All three of these kids are high academics probably looking for another reputable institution at coincidentally the major positions of need. Sounds like a good fit since Williams mom always wanted him at SMU, the CB Eboh has a sister on the SMU soccer team and we need a RB. All 3 were very high 3 stars or 4 stars out of high school (.88 or higher). Need a package deal

Re: TransfersIntriguing.
Re: TransfersReading the article, it sounds like there is a chance they could end up accepted to the grad program, so they are just putting their name in the portal just in case.
Am I reading too much into that?
Re: Transfers
Does the RB fit our offense? I know Stanford moved to a passing offense last year, apparently about the time this guy started getting less carries. Is he built for a spread offense?
Re: Transfers
That was the impression that I got as well.
Re: TransfersWould be nice to get them all, and all play positions of need.
Re: TransfersSMU sophomore safety Treveon Johnson has entered the transfer portal, per a source. He played 17 games over the last two seasons, and made 3 catches as a receiver his freshman year. Was a 4-star recruit by ESPN out of high school. https://twitter.com/SamBlum3/status/1224788603030638592
Re: TransfersMichael Irvin's son has hit transfer portal-played 1 year at Prestonwood Christian before heading to Florida. SMU offered out of high school

Re: TransfersYeah I saw that but we’re sitting on a highly regarded Alabama transfer who has already been with the program a year and a successful pass catching TE on the other side. How would we start/work this kid in when he’s no doubt going to want to play and is immediately eligible?

Re: Transfers
Hoping he can take Pat Nelson's spot.
Re: TransfersHave we gotten any word on kickers/punters yet or this one of the things SD is counting on coming in the fall.

I think we have our Punter - grad transfer from Texas: https://247sports.com/Player/Chris-Naggar-46097196/ Averages about 40 yards with a long of 67 last year for the horns. He stepped in when 1st Punter broke collarbone. https://www.espn.com/college-football/player/stats/_/id/4241822/chris-naggar "Moral Victories Make Me Sick" - TR
