Last 10 seconds are so painful to watch with everybody just standing there not knowing what to do. Was the start of the Jankovirus epidemic at SMU.

I can’t watch it. Too painful. I have never gone to an SMU game with such confidence and high hopes only to have them crushed so badly. It still hurts.

yep- the jankovid-20 virus that destroyed SMU basketball. hope there is a cure so we don't have a jankvid-21 virus as well.

This, and other, comments in this thread are not aging well.

Go check out what's happening in Italy, and get ready.

"So many people are dying so quickly, the hospital mortuaries and funeral workers cannot keep up. 'We take the dead from the morning till night, one after the other, constantly,' said Vanda Piccioli, who runs one of the last funeral homes to remain open. Others have closed as a result of sick funeral directors, some in intensive care. 'Usually we honor the dead. Now it’s like a war and we collect the victims.'

"Ms. Piccioli said one member of her staff had died of the virus on Sunday. She considered closing but decided they had a responsibility to keep going, despite what she said was constant terror of infection and emotional trauma. 'You are a sponge and you take the pain of everybody,' she said.

"She said her staff moved 60 infected bodies daily, from Papa Giovanni and Alzano hospitals, from clinics, from nursing homes and apartments. 'It’s hard for us to get masks and gloves,' she said. 'We are a category in the shadows.'

"Ms. Piccioli said that in the beginning, they sought to get the personal effects of the dead, kept in red plastic bags, back to their loved ones. A tin of cookies. A mug. Pajamas. Slippers. But now they simply don’t have time."

Here in DC area, its like a ghost town except for the people out jogging and walking their fearless dogs. People are social distancing. Schools are closed until summer school. 303 out of 604 cases in Virginia are in Northern Virginia. Maryland has 774 cases with 356 in DC suburbs. DC has 267 cases.
So, in the DC area there are a total of 926 cases.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

Enlighten me, please, as to your wisdom regarding the real problem and as to what's going on in the medical field in our area.

https://www.cdc.gov/flu/weekly/index.htm

Pay attention to that every week. Everyone who goes in with flu like symptoms is getting a flu test and a corona test. You can see flu going down significantly, combo of the natural seasonal cycle (potentially weather based) and social distancing. But ILI are skyrocketing, very abnormal this time of year, and that is Corona. Hopefully, Corona tracks the flu seasonality, but it doesn't look good so far. This site will be the first indication when/if it starts declining according to flu activity.
