Tomball (Memorial), Texas wide receiver Joseph Manjack announced via his Twitter account that he has committed to SMU.

First-team All-District in 2019
1,695 receiving yards
22 total touchdowns

"First I want to thank my mom, sister and dad for helping me through this process. I would also like to thank my nana for never missing a game and always being there for me no matter what. Thank you Uncle Donny for taking me anywhere I need to be. I want to thank Coach Carter for always being there for any questions or just to talk no matter where we’re at. I want to thank Coach Martel for always believing in me and trusting me on and off the field. I want to thank Coach Parker for always having my back and being ready for any situation. I want to thank Coach Woodard for always having a way to brighten the mood on any given day. I want to thank JP Tillman, Footwork King, Coach D and JB for getting that extra work in. I also want to thank Petrosky Elementary, Fort Bend Jaguars, Alief Panthers, Miller Intermediate, Albright Middle School, Alief Hastings and Tomball Memorial High School for teaching me so much about life and all of my Coaches and Teammates that were there along the way. Meh. Other than being tall and strong and having good hands and running good routes and outrunning DBs, I'm not impressed.

He looks faster than Bobby Chase, and Bobby could run. When this guy turns the corner, he chews up yardage. We'll see in a year or two how good this class is, but if nothing else, the team is getting faster.

Yale? Like it. Sure Big time offers are important but this is a smart kid that can add smarts to the game.

Subtracting Manjack still leaves us at #1 in the AAC for average rating per recruit (86.13). For context, we'd be #6 in the Big 12 in average rating per recruit, just behind Oklahoma State.

Interestingly, TCU is dead last in Big 12 recruiting right now.

I may be mistaken, but I think this is his fourth commitment: SMU to Wisconsin to Washington State to USC.

I thought there was one between de-committing from SMU in July and committing to WSU in November!

As I told my USC friends, he wants to try out every shade of red!
