Maybe with two grown children they're not needing the five bedrooms.

I thought the University owned that property - specifically so the president could live there.

Ah, I think you’re right. That is puzzling.

Looks like SMU couldn't afford a quality interior designer. That kitchen is a dump.

I'll give them $1M for it.

DMN says SMU is selling and moving Turner to new digs.

SMU does own the property at 4001 University Blvd - President Turner and his wife Gail built a new home on University Blvd about a block east of the 4001 University Blvd property on the North side of the street (near HPPC) and have already moved in to their new home - SMU has announced that they are selling the 4001 University Blvd property and will be building a new presidential home on campus (I assume for the next president after President Turner retires)

The land is most probably worth two to three times that amount.

Turner is probably the most overpaid university president in the country, and SMU still gives him a house?

I think he can damn well afford to buy one with everything he earns. Can’t believe he’s still President. He should have retired at least 10 years ago. We’ve become a retirement home for him. Smh.

We've given every university president a house. And he is striking out and buying one on his own.

Built it actually and they are in it already. Its across the street from the one SMU just sold.
