Good point. I need to revise my prediction. How many touchdowns will they give tulsa for recovering touchbacks? Hopefully Page will remember what happened last year and have a big game but, after that hit in the head he took then (and targeting wasn't called), I don't know if he remembers much.

We might be doomed with the Jinx of Tulsa, they just seem to have a curse on us.

My gut says we are going to lose one of the next three games.

Tulsa on the road is probably the one.

It's like we have been snakebit in Tulsa.

Over the last few years, there has been a lot of "curse", "jinx", "hex", talk about playing in the city of pain. Sonny should bring a rabbits foot, or something, to lift the black cloud of misery.

Unfortunately I feel very bad about this game. I think I am influenced by last year when we had won 8 straight and then went 2 for 5 in the remaining in games. I hope I am wrong but..welll...

I suspect the result of the game hinges on the play of Tulsa QB Zach Smith. If he gets hot, we may lose a shoot out. However, how do we lose to a team that essentially lost to ECU? I have not watched that game, but I bet our coaches have. My thinking is SMU pulls it out.

This one is a tough to call. I think with the experience against Cincy that we will have a game plan around it. I still think the OC is a question mark so it's tough to tell. As it's with Cincy, it all comes down to us: are we able to move the ball or not? If we move the ball and don't have any dropped passes (that's why we lost to Cincy IMHO) then we win. If we stall out, our defense is going to fall apart by the 4th quarter. I really hope the team got alot of film with the game against ECU defensively because they kept Tulsa to 3 points in the first half. If we do that, game over for Tulsa.

So very hard to determine a prediction but we have to score more than 30 so I'm going with:

42 - 28 SMU

Hope I'm wrong but this Tulsa team looks better than the teams that have given us fits in recent years. Mustangs lose a heartbreaker 41-38

Prove all of us naysayers wrong, Mustangs!
