Big doubleheader this week against memphis. Win them both and we put ourselves in good shape behind Houston. Great that Tyson is back.

Memphis looks great recently. A sweep of either team will knock the other out of the conference race and make it a big uphill battle to make the tourney.

Memphis had 10 guys score in their blowout win at ECU today. They appear to really be putting things together. Should be a couple of intense games this week.

It will be interesting to see how Kendrick does. Memphis is really tall. I think that their shortest starter is 6'5.

Their length is going to give us problem on the offensive boards.

We have been great at keeping our opponents from shooting a high percentage. The putbacks are killing us.

Our shot blocking prowess is a double edged sword. Our players, especially Hunt and Anei, go flying at the shots with arms flailing and reckless abandon. No doubt it alters the shots being taken and greatly increases the chance that the shot will miss. Unfortunately, having 2 and 3 players flying in the air going for blocks leaves too many offensive rebounders unchecked.

I wish we could be a bit more selective in our block chances, sometimes a hand in the face and a good box out for the defensive rebound is more effective. Doesn't help to block or alter a shot if they just grab the rebound and lay it in.
Probaly won't happen...BUT...maybe it will!!

I agree totally.

While it can be extremely electrifying and exhilarating to see players heedlessly flying through the air it is not always advised.
