HEAD COACH TIM JANKOVICH

January 25 - Head Coach Tim Jankovich tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday. He first experienced symptoms on Thursday evening and reported a low-grade fever to medical staff on Friday morning. Out of an abundance of caution, he self-isolated and did not travel to UCF for this past Saturday’s game. He has not had close contact with any staff or student-athletes in the interim. The two other staff members who did not travel to UCF after being deemed close contacts will also self-quarantine per AAC and SMU protocols.

Aside from K.D. and Feron who we have come to expect production from, I was really impressed with the minutes Smith IV, Jasey and Douglas contributed last night. Those guys were key to building the big lead when Bandoumel and Jolly were obviously having off nights. Loved the assist Douglas got finding Jasey in the paint; one of the best assists all night. Have to give Band and Jolly credit for the D they play (and for Jolly pulling down 7 boards) but this team needs them shooting well if they are going to finish strong this season.
