Re: GAME THREAD: MBB at TulaneWeathers bros now 12-13 FTs and Marcus close to a double double with 10 points and 9 boards
Re: GAME THREAD: MBB at TulaneReally need Clark to be a factor at crunch time
Re: GAME THREAD: MBB at TulaneNutall coming through in the clutch
Re: GAME THREAD: MBB at TulaneLooking good but have to make FTs to close this one out
Re: GAME THREAD: MBB at TulaneHuge road win for our guys. Tulane not happy and getting chippy there at the end. Crushing home court loss for them
Re: GAME THREAD: MBB at Tulane33 of 53 FG attempts came from three. As usual, this team lives and dies by the three. Fortunately, they hit 15-33 compared to Tulane's 7-19. Tulane actually took 12 more shots than our guys today
Re: GAME THREAD: MBB at TulaneGREAT execution down the stretch by the team, on both ends of the floor.
Good for them!
Re: GAME THREAD: MBB at TulaneGreat job by our guys hitting 16 of 18 FTs on the road
Re: GAME THREAD: MBB at TulaneSMU finishes with 14 assists vs 14 turnovers after having only 5 assists vs 10 turnovers at half
Re: GAME THREAD: MBB at TulaneGreat defensive adjustments at half.
Re: GAME THREAD: MBB at TulaneNot what I expected at the start of the season, but a huge win in a pivotal matchup early in conference play. Also, another road win and all important quad 2 win.
Re: GAME THREAD: MBB at TulaneTerry, you mentioned defensive adjustments in the second half, agree. AND, I also noted offensive adjustments from prior games.
Jason B astutely called out after the Cincy game that teams were scheming to jam up Kendrick at the point. Today it looked like the Ponies had schemed for that with Davis passing early in the possession very often, and moving well without the ball. The movement off the ball overall by the whole team was markedly better, and created some really nice looks. I also really liked how the team came out of the half, with a bunch of intense defensive stops, smart looks and good shot-making on offense, and quickly turned a 5 point deficit into a 5 point lead out of the break.
