Thornton Chandler

Dislocated his finger on the first offensive series and watched the rest of the game in street clothes. Any word on whether he's out for a while, or is that an injury that can be put in a cast and he can play with?

That would be a huge loss if he's out. Anyone have an update?

It stll wasn't enough to get Sterling Harris in the game. When the game plan shifted to battering Nevada's defense with the run to kill time, why not put Harris in the game? I have heard his footwork on pass protection is not great, but for the running game at that point, put him in and let him pancake some guys.

Has anyone been given a reason to believe he can? He's huge, but he's never produced.

Folks that saw him play briefly against NCSU say he pancaked his guy there a few times, even while making some mistakes. I'd like to see him playing some. He actually put his headgear on once Saturday. Got us all excited.

Maybe next week he will make put his chinstrap on.....A man can hope, can't he?

I would like to see what he can do. I have heard that he has been a huge disapointment, but I just have so much trouble believing it.

A good friend, in the know, tells me that Stephenville sent their Offensive linemen to TTech this past summer, purely to learn to pass block. He says their QB goes virtually untouched as a result. Am I to understand that Tech can teach those HS kids to pass block and our OL coaches can't teach this highly recruited mountain? Something's wrong there. And BTW, maybe we need some of those kids?

Absolutely we can use some of those kids. They are supposed to have three guys who are 260+

We need linemen with size and blocking ability. I know one of them already has committed to TTech, but let's steal him and get the other two!
