WOOHOO, WE SIGNED A KICKER

Postby ALL4SMU » Tue Dec 12, 2000 3:04 pm

THANK GOD, BUT WE HAVE JUST SIGNED A KICKER. That is a huge relief, for me anyways. Let's hope he makes good on the potential and talent that the coaches saw in him. Way to go, SMU!

Don't get me wrong, it is great we signed a kicker. We do need one. But what good does he do if we can't move the ball into scoring territory. We need HOGS for this. Where are the linemen. We don't have a single one yet. I don't care if we had Martin Gramatica on our team, if we can't move the ball, what good is he.

In the name of accuracy, we haven't signed anyone. Verbal commitments are non-binding. Players can not sign a national letter-of-intent until Feb. 7.

But I like the enthusiasm.

Excuse me PonyPride. Just began typing without really thinking about it. Trust me, I know the difference, having orally committed myself five years ago and then signing with this wonderful school.

Swami - I didn't mean to sound like I doubted you. Just afraid there are some fans out there who think once a kid commits, he's ours. Keep up the enthusiasm.

Swami, I'm with you. I am happy that we got a kicker and hopefully he will be worth a hoot but I want my HOGS! I hope to start seeing name after name of guys that are 280 and above. 280 is still low to me but there is for sure a good foundation for growth. Come on big boys we need you.

Don't get me wrong, O-line is for certain a top priority for us. Just a couple of years ago look how big our offensive line used to be. And I could not say for certain, but I would think it would be safe to say we ran the ball a lot better back then. We need guys the size of Bandy, Chivara, Holder, Adami, Mandugu(sp?), Slaten, and that other guy I cannot remember his name...he was married.

Here is to the fat guys.

Also, does anyone know what is going on with Kumu(sp)?
