Floyd's suspension

Postby Vitale » Wed Nov 29, 2000 12:15 am

What does this mean for the Mustangs' inside game?

DeWayne Floyd is out for at least a couple of games, Jon Forinash is out for who knows how long, and Nigel Smith is still getting back into the game after missing a whole year.

Is Jibran Kelley the team's best inside player for a while? He has promise, but he's young and hasn't shown a really polished inside game. Let's hope he develops more quickly than expected.

Looks like it will be up to Nigel Niemi and Kelley. I say Nigel starts and Jibran and him split time, with a touch of Niemi. I hope Nigel's confidense is ok, I think he might still be a little timid, which is very understandable after what he went through.

I just read Jibran will start. This makes sense because it sounds like New Mexico State goes with a small line up.

Go getem stangs.
