Re: SMU LacrosseNice job Ponies! I love it when we smack around Baylor High.
Thanks for the lax report, Juice!
Re: SMU LacrosseJuice, thanks for starting the Lacrosse topic. My son played in the Baylor game and they were thrilled with the victory. This weekend they travel to Rice.
The team is coming into his own and will be a force in the Long Star Alliance in the near future. Thanks, again for bringing attention to this fast growing sport. For spectators it is great fun as well. Go Mustangs. ------------------ Pony Up
Re: SMU LacrosseHaving played for the first SMU Lax team, it is great to see the program come back to a high level in the LSA. Lacrosse is a perfect fit for SMU; Prep School oriented, physical, and tied to good schools (Ivy League teams are still powers in the sport). Best success to Don and the Boys!
Re: SMU LacrosseThis past Saturday, the lacrosse team went down to Houston and beat Rice 9-5.
Next week, we are travelling up to Lubbock to play the Red Raiders.
Re: SMU LacrosseSMU played Texas Tech in Lubbock today and won 10-9 in OT.
We have started the season 3-0, beating Baylor, Rice, and Texas Tech, each of which were ranked 3rd, 4th, and 5th in the league preseason poll.
Re: SMU LacrosseLaxpower.com has SMU ranked 35th in current USILA poll. Big win over Tech...probably haven't beaten them since the 80's.
Re: SMU LacrosseIt was a great game.

Re: SMU LacrosseTech scored first, but at the end of the 1st quarter, the score was SMU 4, Tech 2. The 2nd quarter was rather slow, ending SMU 6, Tech 3. Tech came within one or two goals in the 3rd quarter and tied the game with under 2 minutes left in the 4th. Ovetime time started 9-9 and Tech only got one possession before SMU scored to win the game.
Scoring: Doug Harbison - 1 goal; Rob Lev - 1 goal; Andrew Stephens - 1 goal; Chris Neumann - 2 goals; John Harvin - 5 goals. I don't remember the Assist information. Sorry.
Re: SMU LacrosseThanks, Juice, for the excellent recap. Keep it up. Question, who keeps the SMU Lacrosse Web-site up to date? Suggestion, your comments should be posted there, making the site more valuable. Thanks, again.
