First-team All-District 3-6A Strengths as a Player Braxton Webb is a big, athletic blocker with good mobility and a frame that should allow him to carry considerably more bulk as he dives into a college strength and conditioning program (and he might not be done growing — one doctor projected he could grow to around 6-foot-7). He has the long arms coaches covet in tackles, and has the quickness to get to the second level of the defense after delivering his first block. Interviews Central head coach Brent Davis on Braxton Webb:
Braxton has been our starting left tackle for the last two years. We’re basically a one-back spread offense, and we throw the ball about 80 percent of the time — most of it in the pocket, but with some quarterback sprint-outs, too. As far as our running game, we do a lot of insize zone, with some outside zone, some traps and a little bit of power, too. Braxton Webb on why he chose SMU:
The coaching staff is really good, and I like the family atmosphere a lot. This coaching staff is going to get the program winning, like it was in the 1980s.
