With regards to Joe Danna and other recruits, remember that the source of 90% of what the recruiting services report comes from 1) the kid's coach, 2) the recruit, or 3) the kid's parents. All the above have one overriding goal, and that is to promote their prospect.
Another bias that can't be ...

I'm not disagreeing with Stallion, but I think it would be more accurate to state that the difference in Rivals’ and Insiders’ coverage of the Mustangs vs. the UTs and A&Ms of the world has more to do with the number of paid subscriptions than it does the caliber of athlete (although certainly that ...

JACK'S DELIGHT AT SUPER AGENTS
Claymores head coach jack Bicknell has declared himself delighted after the free agent draft returned a few familiar faces to Scotland.

Guys, please play nice. We shouldn't have to police old timers such as yourselves.

Re: Thursday's Dallas Morning News
Recruits read PonyFans.com because they either find out about the site from other recruits and/or players, or they find out about us because we call and interview almost all recruits (and their coaches) that have a serious interest in SMU.
Obviously, once we interview them they tend to stay tuned ...

The Rumor Mill
Former Air Force cornerback, speedster Charles Akinyemi, in now enrolled at SMU. Akinyemi is a native of Sugar Land Texas (Marine Military) and goes 5'8, 178. Don't have any other stats at this time, but supposedly he was the fastest player for the Falcons last year. Seen here putting the flying foo ...

Re: James \"Big Mac\" McClinton
This past weekend, Richard Bartel told me that he was anticipating great improvement in the passing game. I addition to his obvious personal improvement, Bartel said Comet looked good and that Rushbrook was tearing up the place (which we've all seen). I then asked him about the 3rd receiver spot ...

Re: Who is being redshirted?
Names I've heard specifically are: Massey, Boren, Peveto, Bonds, Jones. Also, I think I remember one of the receivers (can't remember which) and maybe Blake Warren as a return man.

Re: Players Report as Mustangs Reemerge
I guess the only person who knows for absolute certainty is ShanD.
However, I've heard from many that SDC may be done. Take that for what it's worth. I haven't talked to him personally and I haven't spoken with his doctor, but I think the handwriting is on the wall.
I'll ask at Media Day ...

Re: Chris Hall commits
When discussing Chris Hall (a.k.a. Wardog) with Bobby and Vincent Chase's father, the younger Hall was described as "a man among boys". He went further to say that Chris has no idea of how good he could be because right now he basically walks out on the field and just starts flaying people (remember ...

Re: PonyFans.com profile: BOBBY CHASE
I haven't put a stop watch on Bobby Chase, but he is exactly 6'4. PF.com is now in possesion of his junior year highlight reel. He catches balls off his shoelaces, over defenders, 1-handed, flying backwards through the air. He catches pretty much everything. Fabulous concentration.
Re: Oil Bowl
Incorrect!! SMU incoming freshman Justin Boren started at RG (they needed his athleticism on the right side as they had some plays where they wanted a guard on the right side who could pull) for Texas in the Oil Bowl. Boren had EASILY two dozen pancakes. Seems like his man was on his butt after ...

Both. Vincent is a big, strong kid who by all accounts plays very tough. Like his brother, he also has great hands.
