Re: OFFICIAL Signing Day thread

I'm partial to 1st & 10's BLT as well. One of the best in town, and with an order of cottage fries (crispy of course), it's tough to beat.

Re: Mention in Sports Illustrated

Slick Rick is definitely leaving a mess for the next head coach to clean up, along with a decided lack of talent to turn things around quickly. Thank God we didn't go down the road years ago to hire him.

Mention in Sports Illustrated

Looks like UCLA is having an awful recruiting year, especially when we are killing them in their own back yard.

Re: Richie Whitt, Is this Guy a Jerk? SMU CB Gets His Bell Rung

If you go to the Dallas Observer tonight, you will see that Richie has posted a "mea culpa" of sorts to Derrius. Unfortunately, it doesn't make up for the fact that he decided to post that article last week. Derrius was kind enough to do an interview with him, which is probably a lot more than I ...

Eastern Washington threw 60 times against Tech-playing from well behind all nite. Their QB threw for 3700 yards last year and 39 TDs. Of course, they are going to put up some big passing yards. Once again, passing yards signify nothin'. Tech stopped 5 drives by a bowl team playing at home last week ...

Bluntly put, Houston is a swamp that has little to no redeeming qualities. Traffic sucks, zoning is a four letter word, humidity is god awful, and the smell is something that absolutely defies description. Why anyone would choose to live there is beyond me.

Arthur Bryant's is over hyped and not even as good as most Sonny Bryant's around town and couldn't compare to the original on lemon. KC BBQ is good but does not hold a candle to what you find in the Texas Hill Country. If you are looking for good Texas BBQ try this link http://maps.google ...

Is the sizable donation simply the add on to the season tickets (i.e. $30/ticket), or are you kicking in an additional sum of money as well? If the donation you are referring to is the "mandatory" donation that goes along with purchasing season tickets, then I don't think that is going to cut it.

the Hawaii guys keep saying that June likes bigger backs than most Run and Shoots. Maybe fits more as a Blocking back on passing downs. Then you got 6 blockers

The Spoon (Chuck Witherspoon)

How about Craig "Iron Head" Heyward, who was his RB with the Falcons and gained over 1,000 yards?

From what I hear, Lake Highlands is absolutely thrilled with the new alignment. Trading out the Plano schools and Allen for four lame DISD football schools and Carrollton Creekview should bode well in all sports for them.

My guess is the powers that be at Jesuit are probably wishing they never ...

His dad wouldn't be a bad pick up as an assistant coach, especially considering his Texas recruiting connections have got to be good.

When conference realignments occur/destruction of the BCS system occurs, SMU needs to be in an attractive position for would-be suitors. We really are going to have to fill up Ford/Moody, make bowls/ncaa tourney appearances, and ride the wave of positive publicity not only here in Dallas but across ...

Can't you just picture the first game this next year..

Our video intro should play "Hells Bells" or something like that and have a picture of a Tombstone reading SMU Football - and an unearthed and empty grave.

Truly think this program is on the verge of rising from the death penalty.. let's ...

Right now, unless they are JUCO players that have already signed LOI's, everyone is still fair game. Grab the commit list from Tulsa, Hawaii, Coogar High, and those still on the fence and let's go to town. Obviously, it is not going to be realistic to expect UT, OU, etc. to lose commits, but ...

Doesn't have a very good short term memory. Guess that's a good thing?

I guess he's forgotten more football than any of us.

He's probably physically and mentally exhausted right now. The last couple of weeks for him has involved three LONG flights, and he said that he had been up for like 40 ...
