Re: SMU Football Trivia
That is a great game. Thanks for putting that together. Always good to score a TD against the toads, even if it is only on the computer.

Mike Richardson
On a different note, I read a great article on the Mustang Maniacs site about Mike Richardson. Looks like that site has been improved greatly recently.
Anyway, the article with Richardson was interesting and he still seems to be a great supporter of SMU. I found it to be a welcome break from our ...

Re: SMU'S HERITAGE HALL AT FORD STADIUM
I would be happy to contribute to Heritage Hall, but have heard nothing from the ath. dept. to indicate that it is a priority. If the school made a genuine effort to complete the museum, I think that they would find that several alums are interested in donating. I know of no good reason why SMU ...

Heritage Hall
Speaking of SMU spirit, does anyone know what the status of Heritage Hall is? I try to ask this question on one of the boards from time to time and no one really seems to know.
The plans on the ath. dept. site look good. Just wondering if funding is still an issue and if there are any plans to try ...

Hey Pony Nation:
Are you living in Auburn now? I live north of there. Not too many Mustangs in 'Bama unfortunately.

Re: New Blue? EndZones
My impression was that the endzones would be navy blue like our new uniforms and the seats in the upper portion of the stadium.
That royal is really going to clash I think. Makes no sense. Should have left the color out of the endzones if this is what we are going to be stuck with. That or go ...

Re: POLL: Best win post DP??
Funny how Rossley owned Fraud. He beat him in 1992, the year before I got to SMU. Then he beat him again in 1994 in Ownby when Flanigan threw the TD to Brian Berry in the closing seconds. Then my senior year at SMU we blew New Mexico out at the Cotton Bowl. Flanigan to Albert Johnson on our first ...

Re: I HATE AGGIES AND TEASIPS!
I second that emotion MM1965. Funny that A&M would have an ad showing the rear of an automobile, because that's what the schools that hire Fran usually see after 2 or 3 years.

EastStang, Penn State lost to Bama 42-21 in BHM that year (1982). Bear Bryant coached his final game in 1982 in the Liberty Bowl, beating Illinois. That was the problem, PSU had a blowout loss and SMU had only the tie against Arkansas.

Re: Question about \"A Payroll to Meet\"
The only other books that I could suggest on SMU Football are "Doak Walker : More Than a Hero"; "Hayden Fry : A High Porch Picnic"; "Mustang Mania" (If you can get a copy - maybe try Alibris); The 1982 SWC Championship book that the school put out (have only seen a handful of copies in my entire ...

1997 on Thursday night ESPN with a bowl bid on the line vs. 0-10 TCU. I had dreamed of a night like that since I started following SMU Football (1992). Thinking about that loss still puts a lump in my throat.

Last time I checked, Provo is no longer in the WAC. But then again, I guess that is part of our problem.

Re: ?? for marketing/athletic personnel
Regardless of how we feel on this topic, Fry's book "A High Porch Picnic" is a must read for Mustang fans. Has several chapters about his SMU days. That alone is worth the price of the book.
