For those that see UNT as unworthy to be associated with the likes of mighty SMU, I have one question: How many have actually been to UNT lately or ever? What about in the last 5 years?
The upcoming configurations are going to be based soley upon present need and current status--not the distant ...

Re: Non BCS conference holding summit meeting
I just hope they come out of these meetings with some regional conference ideas that puts UNT, SMU, TCU and others in the same regional conference--or at least paves the way for such to happen if the dominoes actually begin to fall. Let common sense AND cents rule for once.

Re: Thrive on or reasonably close to the Hilltop
If UNT-TCU-SMU un the same conference would not develop into a triangle rivalry of the biggest proportions, I will eat my hat. I guarantee you that SMU-UNT, given several years in the same conference, would build a rivalry to the point that 40K would attend every matchup--minimum.

Re: ACC's expansion plans may be disrupted by lawsuit
This is stupid. No school is under contract that they will stay in a conference indefinitely. There are buy out clauses for a reason. The hypocritical thing is that schools that are left out are always the ones to talk about loyalty to conference mates, but that is JUST because they were left out ...

My reply on the Mean Green Board to the Above Article:
This is all what many of us have said for some time. I admit that reading the article disturbs me greatly. I fear that if the IA schools in this region do not pursue getting together soon, that it is going to be bad news for all of us ...

Re: Conference preference
Nacho, this is my last post for a while--until we all hear some more definitive news on conference realignment, which is how I came over here any way.
I leave all of you with this little prophecy. SMU will be back in the world of college football--not in a BCS conference--that door has been ...

Re: Conference preference
Just a note: When Arkansas State comes to Denton, they bring their band and several thousand fans. How many fans does Fresno St or Hawaii bring to SMU? MAYBE 50. Have you EVER seen their band at your place.
How do you develop rivalries with folks that far away? Answer: You can't. There-in lies ...
