Re: Missouri State hotels

Rising in the polls after the first week will require significant losses by the teams ahead of us, so I assume you're kidding. If the favorites all win, we could win by 80 and move move up.

Re: Things are still going great in Tallahassee (MBB version

Schools are going to have to make sure they maintain their reputation as keepers of NIL promises, or else it will become almost impossible to recruit.
Very true. Schools will be able to pay players, but only up to a designated salary cap. Beyond that, it's legal for collectives to pay players, so ...

Re: Some names in portal

You've got that right. The numbers that are rolling around on the internet (so you know they're accurate) are staggering.

Re: CFP other games 2024

Would love to have seen our guys play Penn State in the climate-controlled stadium in Phoenix. Not saying we would have won, but it would have been closer than it was when we played them in the North Pole.

Re: ESPN: Dickerson does not want Barkley to break his recor

If Barkley plays, Sirianni should be fired.
Could you imagine if Barkley got hurt in a meaningless game right before the playoffs?

We all should be thrilled if Oquendo is another Sterling Brown

Re: 2025 defensive lineman commits to SMU

So after his senior year, he'll be what, 275? 280?
Never can have enough big linemen.
I like it.

Offensive line

Bryant, Hickman and White are gone. Osborne seems to be moving, at least temporarily, from guard to center. So is this how the line projects?

LT: PJ Williams
LG: Logan Parr
C: Osborne
RG: Jakai Clark
RT: Savion Byrd

Re: I've seen enough.

I kind of agree with the original post, except how much does HS recruiting matter? Maybe hoops goes the way of football, and relies heavily on transfers?
Wouldn't hate a splash hire for the next MBB and WBB coaches.

That's awesome. He sure had his share of skeptics (including me) at times at SMU, but look at him now. Keep it going.

Re: Lashlee Interview

Interesting comments at the end about how the teams that left the AAC last year handled their departure for the Big 12.

Those schools "rubbed us the wrong way" and "we didn't want to do that."

Love having Lashlee as our coach.

Kevin Jennings

If he leads us to a win Saturday and brings home the championship, he'll be a legend in SMU football history.
Can't wait to see it happen.
