went to th eTCU Game and watched the A$M game - the consistency on the comments regardless of the game is the same - TOO MANY PLAYERS PLAYING TOO MANY MINUTES!!!! It's not Nolan Richardson's "40 minutes of hell" full court pressure that we're playing. PICK A ROTATION AND STICK WITH IT! Orsini is ...

Don't know that we got it right at all. SMU AGAIN decided to go the cheap route with a successful program. First track, now soccer. Grimes got paid alot of money by Cal to take his name out of the hat, and Hackworth would be a GREAT fit for SMU and Dallas, and I mean PERFECT. Going with a head coach ...

Back in the 80's, ALL our sports were clicking on ALL cylinders and the University attracted students who thought athletics were an important part of the college experience. We had great football, good basketball, LOTS of Olympic gold medalist swimmers, BIG TIME track and tennis athletes, and an up ...

Actually, TCU's endowment has grown WAY FASTER than SMU's in the last 3 years, and as of 2007, they passed us up:
2005 2006 2007
Southern Methodist University(SMU) $ 1.014 $ 1.121 $ 1.328
Texas Christian University $ 0.941 $ 1.016 $ 1.430

Please folks, let's call it the way it is..... the fact that 15-16 freshman may not redshirt is HORRIFIC NEWS, particularly with regard to OL and DL. An 18 year old freshman is simply NOT READY to go toe-to-toe with 23 year old seniors, as a general rule. I am hoping the upper classmen put a ...

JJ San Antonio event

Best turnout we've ever had for San Antonio SMU event - about 50 folks, despite Spurs-Mavs game in town.... without that, we would have had 75 EASY! Orsini missed due to late flight, but Bob Sharp and alot of staffers were there. REALLY NICE EVENT!!

Several former athletes there, many who had not ...

Who will not be retunring next year - promising replacements

Any word on who may not be returning for Spring smemester and/or next year?

More importantly, which redshirts appear to be making the most impact for next year?

Most importantly, those close to the program know that Brent Irwin did ALL the "heavy lifting" for the program, including most of the recruiting contacts, etc..... I found it a little disheartening that a top 5 program would be lazy enought to sign 7-8 players from 1 Club team - albeit the Texans. I ...

CBA????? If I'm not mistaken, you can make more money working part-time at Walmart than in the CBA full-time!! If he has a KILLER CBA season, he gets a coulpe of 10 day day contracts - MAYBE. If he has a KILLER SENIOR SEASON, he could be a late 1st round NBA choice or make real cash in Europe. CBA ...

Bamba Fall ing...............................

Checked out the Oak HIll website - unless this kid is injured he has not finished in the top 5-6 players (on a 10 man roster) in scoring or rebounding in ANY game yet - I know it's Oak Hill, but geez, aren't we looking for somebody that can play - this looks like another Ike 4 year project player ...

Saturday Assessment - WR Recruits needed....etc...

How frustrating must it have been to be Tony Eckert and Jerad Romo on Saturday night and watch all those drops in critical situations??

We need to find some athletes who CAN CATCH the ball when it hits them in the hands!

Defense - There were some AWESOME hits delivered by the D. Wilton McCray ...

Bennett showed some class when.....

I thought the Pony staff did a VERY NICE job of incorporating as many players as possible into the victory - Blackmon pass into endzone, Nixon playing, etc.... Shows a glimpse of hte true character and class that Bennett and COmpnay will operate under once they get the program back on it's feet ...
