Re: Van Gundy says good things about Ben Moore and SMU
I think thatΓÇÖs what it was. He saw him during the league games and said that he could do it all, he could rebound, pass, shoot and defend well at the professional level. He then went on to complement SMUΓÇÖs players in general for having the same skill sets. Later, during the game he complemented ...

Watching the Pacers Knicks game tonight and at the 8:50cst point in the game had a lot of complementary things today about Ben Moore and SMU basketball players in general.

Re: Starting QB and RB Next Season?
[quote="StandUp" ]If you state that Colbert could have the skills of a "protypical qb" shouldn't he be our starting QB? Why should we start Burcham just because he knows our system. Burcham has already been given his shot and showed us that he is not capable of winning. I am tired of our Football ...

Re: The LB-style Hire
Tx_Mustang10", I agree with you that Marty should be in the discussion, but as an assistant coach to his son, Brian Schottenheimer, the offensive coordinator with the Rams. That way, we would then have a young, energetic, successful coach at the helm that could be in place for many years to come and ...

Re: Should Jim Tressel be on our list too?
Jim Mora was only acceptable because he hired 3 ace recruiting all with LA backgrounds and about 6 coaches would were recognized as strong recruiters. Jim Mora with a bunch of over age NFL rejects would be toast by now and they'd be looking for a new coach. There is an incredible infusion of young ...

Re: Should Jim Tressel be on our list too?
Brian Schottenheimer, the Offensive Coordinator with the STL Rams and son of Marty Schottenheimer, should be in the conversation for head coach.
slapon after watching his videos I agree he should be on our list.
Seems like a bright, young, energetic guy, that could recruit .

Re: Should Jim Tressel be on our list too?
We have an ex NFL coach now and look at our recruiting. Do we really want ex NFL coaches with no prior college HC experience?
He has interviewed for a few head coaching jobs in the NFL within the last couple of years. Obviously, he is doing something right to be considered for a head coaching ...

Re: Should Jim Tressel be on our list too?
I have brought it up before and it may seem to others like a personal crusade, but it is worth bringing up again. Brian Schottenheimer, the Offensive Coordinator with the STL Rams and son of Marty Schottenheimer, should be in the conversation for head coach. There are too many positives to ignore ...

Re: Building a fan base
It would have been nice if the children could have been provided an opportunity to be personally introduced to the football team prior to the game, so long as it did not interfere with team's game day preparations. It actually could provide the team additional motivation to play better knowing that ...

Re: Penalties
One offensive lineman, Weeks, was responsible for at least 4 of the penalties, which nullified approximately 60+ yards of gains that the offense had generated at crucial times. I believe one was a 4th and 17 conversion that was nullified. Unacceptable!

Re: AD Hart Should Give Away Tickets To Fill The Stands
I believe they have had some MYF days at Ford but nothing more than a few hundred in the end zone. Small clusters of kids. Not anything like the Cotton Bowl days.

Re: AD Hart Should Give Away Tickets To Fill The Stands
Methodist Youth Fellowship-the youth organization of the Methodist Church. We used to have hundreds of buses bringing in thousands of Methodists from all over Texas. I remember it more at the Cotton Bowl but it was a standard SMU promotion for decades. I know Baylor does it too
