the tubas we use are contrabass bugles...the same ones drum corps use. while the sousaphones may be a tad louder, the contras sound WAY better. Sousaphones may be able to project a little more, but i'll take quality tuba over loud, annoying fart-like tuba. and let's be real, the contra tubas are ...
