Can Keith come up with something other than the Manziel money sign... at least while we are still on probation. Maybe the Sam Cassell Big Balls or the Championship Belt since we are the reigning conference champs.

Re: AAC: Temple's Matatevich Wins Bronko Nagurski Award
[quote="Stlhockeyguy02"]More AAC love. Can't recall the last time a conference SMU was in had a national player of the year come out of it (My bet is, obviously, the SWC).
I think TCU was still in the WAC when LT won the Doak Walker award.

Re: Appeal looks less likely
Does an appeal allow the NCAA to investigate further? Maybe there is more to the story SMU is happy to get behind them. If the NCAA doesn't get that chance then no reason not to appeal... our success with this team will help cover up the fact that next years freshman can't play in the tourney.

Re: Horribly coached game.
It reminds me a lot of when Bennett installed his defense from Kansas State his first year(s). Both put a lot of stress on the secondary. Bennet's style probably fit a little better at the time given that offenses used more tight ends and didn't spread the field as much. Maybe its a big 12 ego thing ...

Re: Horribly coached game.
As bad as the secondary is... they should have played a cover 1 defense and brought the strong safety in the box. This would have at least given us one extra defender in the box to miss a tackle. Their QB was an absolutely terrible passer and we should have done anything possible to force the ...

Re: Security at entrance
We have been a bit spoiled in years past being able to enter the game 5 minutes before kickoff with no line. If you want a full stadium at kickoff then you need to get to the gate earlier like most big programs.

Band / Student Section
The new location seemed to dramatically reduce their noise level being in the open end zone... despite what i thought was a great turnout for the students.

Re: BIG TIME Commitment(s)!!!!!!!!!!
I like his highlights and think he will added needed depth maybe start but there is no attempt to even block him on half of those plays.
His high school was in the highest classification in the state and their county district has produced a couple of state champions so it's not like he's playing ...

Re: BIG TIME Commitment(s)!!!!!!!!!!
Green's HS highlights are certainly impressive. Not sure we've had a DT in a long time swallow running backs like this guy did in HS. He was in the same class as Clowney along with 4 other d lineman. Had more offers than I care to count including one from Auburn during their national championship ...
