Farewell from Pony Nate-tion

Hello all,

I'm not sure who all will read this, or that anyone cares, but given that I have been previewing SMU football games on this website since I was just in 7th grade, I feel the need to thank everyone for all the support over the years. Last season was my last one writing for Pony Fans. As I ...

Looking for improvement but as Nate said. This teams grit showed last week.
Go Mustangs.

From Nate's mouth to God's ear might be my new slogan.

Come on man that's so petty. I though it was a damn good write-up for a young dude.

Thank you!

I liked everything you wrote except the "rival" part. That's a one way street.
As much as I'd love to agree, this IS the team that 36-0 skunked us last year.

Series 31-6-1
Longest win streak (SMU): 11
Longest win streak (NTCC): 1

The last two wins came on an exiting coach who tried to quit and ...

I love Buechele as much as the next guy, but you're crazy to have him ahead of Fine.

Re: Unsold seats for Opener-nTs

We just have to accept that nothing will change until SMU wins. Only chance of this ever changing is generating enough interest to move the needle in Dallas, nationally, and with the students. Gotta keep trying to find the lightning in a bottle a la TCU and UCF.

Tulane will be a closer match and hopefully Ponies can pull out another close win.

Pony NATE-tion Abridged: UCF too much for Mustangs

Apologies to the readers, as college apps, school work, and football practice proved to be too much for me to get to a full article this week. However, here is my very condensed take on this week's matchup against the No. 12 Golden Knights of UCF:

This is another bear of a matchup for the Ponies ...

Re: Implications of UNT fiasco

SMU Football Blog was writing about SMU football before you were born Nate. Show a little respect whether you agree or not.
How does my age lessen my fandom or credibility at all? I've dealt with many of the lows of the program my whole life too. I was born in an SMU jersey. No disrespect was ...

Re: Implications of UNT fiasco

I didn't watch the game either. Checked the score after the game was over and then read Ponyfans. Got the whole flavor of the game in 5 minutes without the ugliness you can't unsee. Only way for me to catch any games going forward.

I paid for my education at SMU so I don't owe it anything. It does ...

Re: Implications of UNT fiasco

I didn't go because I expected the team to get drilled.

I went to the bowl game in Frisco. I went alone because my wife and kids didn't want to go. None of my friends wanted to go.

I showed up. The team didn't show up. I left at halftime.

I had an epiphany walking back to my car. This isn't ...
