Looking meaningless 4 - 0 Memphis at half. ECU wins in OT. But hey! Win Ponies, Improve your position and seize momentum for El Paso. Anything can happen at the tournament. Look at last year's first round. And this season there is really no clear cut favorite.

EastStang is partially right. There are 64 teams in the women's tourney with 16 first round sites. Correct on being a top 16 seed to host.

Unfortunately for SMU, tamu & ut will probably have higher seeds and given the NCAA's penchant to keep a lid on travel costs, the ladies will once again be ...
