Re: Coaching Search Who Ya Want?

Pitino would definitely be fun, but I think we'd have to anticipate it being a short stay... which is the exact situation we completely botched last time.

Re: AAC Championship Tournament

Based on W-L record, someone out there thinks we have the best coach in the tournament...
Best tourney coach: SMUΓÇÖs Tim Jankovich is the only coach in this field who has won an AAC tournament, having done it in 2017. His record in this tourney is 5-2.

The window Brown opened might have been slammed shut? Lol that window has been nailed and caulked with Flex Seal.
Not at all. We are still very close to where we want to be. The issue is having a coach that can get us there. The one we have makes it seem like it is an impossible dream.
Our list ...

Re: BREAKING: Jankovirus will cause Moody to be empty next y

MOODY: More season tickets will be canceled as the hard reset to the 1500 continues. In what world would Jank coming back and the team on a losing skid to end the season excite the fan base and get someone to buy season tix?
We may manage to drop below the 1500... I know more than a couple that ...

Re: Where we sit in terms of NET and the tourney

We should not participate in any tournaments other than the NCAA or NIT, unless we're also going to cut back all expenses related to the basketball program and concede to sub-mediocrity. It's just not something competitive (or even semi-competitive) teams do.

I actually really enjoyed the CIT run ...

If we have to boil it down to one reason, this was it. That game was astonishingly terrible... I still think we should have gotten in "at-large" over NC State based on overall resume, but that loss was just so bad.

Re: Full circle - back to the 1500

The majority of it could have been eliminated by just saying we need this amount of money for your seats and if you can't pay it you have to move.
I was on board to pay up to keep my same seats. I wanted somebody to tell me how much. Unfortunately, that wasn't in the plan. So, I don't go to ...

This is a great, common sense change. Glad to see it.

Re: And down goes Memphis

Wonder if anything is going to happen to the coach or is he off scot free?
I think in regards to this the "he wasn't coach at the time" defense will actually work. Wiseman's violation is exclusively in regards to Penny being a booster - not a coach - and boosters aren't generally within NCAA's ...

Re: 2020 AAC schedule

Great schedule next year. All of the toughest games are at home w/ a good number of quality opponents.

None of the away games are automatic wins, but the teams we're playing at home are definitely the tougher bunch.

I'm just annoyed that we likely won't be "ranked" against Navy... lol

I really want Memphis to take this one... decent game so far, but Oregon looked much better in the first half.

This is still a mediocre team from a scheduling perspective, but through sheer luck it got more interesting.
