As a longtime USC fan, I wouldn't describe Miller Moss as an "elite" QB. Above average? Yes. Elite? No.

Ikus wrote:...then piece together a staff of assistant coaches willing to work on a salary that pales in comparison to those at other schools because the cost of living in Palo Alto is insanely high.
They partially addressed that by building housing on-campus that assistant coaches could live in.

Re: Sources: SMU expected to hire Maryland AD Damon Evans

Are we not going to mention why he left Georgia? Not a great look on many levels.

https://www.espn.com/college-sports/news/story?id=5354373
That's public knowledge and it happened 15 years ago. How much more do you want to talk about it? Or do you think that should prevent someone from ever ...

Re: Sources: SMU expected to hire Maryland AD Damon Evans

I donΓÇÖt get this hire. He was at Georgia during its mediocre years and Maryland has been horrible in football and mediocre at best in basketball. Questionable to lackluster coaching hires in both
The football coach he hired isn't inspiring, but presumably (hopefully?) SMU won't need to hire one ...

It has essentially become a mid-major tourney, with Indiana, Ohio St, and Rutgers opting out. By 2030, or sooner, it will be no more. Why are we playing? Should we not be focusing on transfer portal matters, etc? Not sure the Turk is going to vastly improve because of this, for example.
You play ...

2025-2026 cost of attendance

Has SMU announced the estimated total cost of attendance for next year? I'm asking because USC just announced theirs will be $99K+ (tuition is $73K) while Duke is at $96K for total cost.

2025 spring preview

SMU Mustangs
2024 record: 11-3 (8-0)

Spring storyline: SMU did the unprecedented last year, rolling to an ACC championship game appearance in its first year in a power conference. Despite the success the Mustangs had in their inaugural ACC season, they lost to Clemson in the ACC title game and ...

Re: 2025 SMU Schedule

Thanks for the information, I'll check Asheville as well. I would prefer a non-stop flight, but when traveling from the West Coast (SMF) ATL or CLT are the most likely options.

Mrs CP and I are heading to the west coast in Feb to visit my bros out there. Direct flights from CLT to LAX on American ...

Re: 2025 SMU Schedule

Greenville Spartanburg is clearly the closest most convenient but I assume Charlotte will be the lowest cost and about a 2-1/2 hour trip to Clemson. Atlanta is probably going to be a similar cost and drive. Columbia is another option but also going to be close to a 2 hour drive and it's been years ...

Re: 2025 SMU Schedule

If my wife won't kill me, the back to back Clemson, WF looks like a possibility for me.
I'm looking at those same road games. Clemson for sure with my daughter and her family but might go solo to Wake Forest and look to join other SMU fans making that trip. As you say, wife might not be thrilled ...

That should be interesting. I presume the game will be in Tallahassee?
