If she averaged 8 minutes and 3 points at South Carolina, that's one thing. But at Cal?
I'm not saying she isn't good. I know nothing about her.
But what do you like?
I like a 5ΓÇÖ10ΓÇ¥ perimeter player (who was a top 100 recruit). We have to trust Coach Barnes will use the recruiting funds ...

WBB loses top 100 recruit
Ugh, this one hurts. Top 100 recruit, Sania Richardson, decommits and heads to Auburn. We havenΓÇÖt gotten too many chances at top 100 recruit over the years. We do have someone her size transferring from Arizona State, which gives me hope.

the Arizona fans are wound up AdiaΓÇÖs comments about AZΓÇÖs lack of NIL funds:
Now that there is the portal, you cannot sustain success without resources. So, naturally, you will lose 5-7 players per year when they donΓÇÖt get paid.ΓÇ¥

LetΓÇÖs give our new AD credit here too. We were looking at Harriel before Coach Barnes but we couldnΓÇÖt afford her. EvanΓÇÖs got womenΓÇÖs basketball a million bucks to recruit (so IΓÇÖve heard). We were recruiting with both arms behind our back last year.
CanΓÇÖt wait for the season to get here!

AD Evans gets WBB much needed NIL funds
Last year our womenΓÇÖs basketball team started the year with less than $25,000 in NIL funds for player recruitment which was at the bottom of the ACC. IΓÇÖve heard from a solid source that Coach Barnes will have over significantly more dollars (over 20x) to attract players so the team will have the ...

Whoever comes in we need a significant increase in NIL $$ to compete. We were dead last in NIL funds and it showed. LetΓÇÖs see what our new AD does in support of WBB.

One of the players posted that Robertson, our leading scorer, is out for the season. ThatΓÇÖs 5 players out, 2 of whom are the top 2 scorers. I think they are down to 7 or 8 healthy bodies.

Disappointing after the effort at Ga Tech. Unfortunately, we have 3 injured players who were tagged to be starters when this team was put together.

Re: Women's basketball falls, 88-64, to Notre Dame
I want a successful program but IΓÇÖm realistic. The men actually get NIL money (I read 6-figures for Samet alone) plus the menΓÇÖs program had some recent winning history from the Larry Brown era. The women donΓÇÖt have that quick NIL fix and have to compete with schools such as A&M who pay every ...

Good win. I was worried about the noon start. The cold start really multiplied that worry but the guys calmed down.

It’s going to take a few years … in the ACC. The past 2-3 years we had better showings in the AAC than we did under Mays or the end of Coach Rompola’s time. Getting ACC level kids interested wasn’t going to happen in yr1.

How much of the last 2 losses is simply getting beat by better teams, and how much is hangover from the collapse at Pittsburgh?
The former. The very top of the ACC is really good. Top 25 ranked Cal lost to Duke 72-38. Also UNC is #1 in the ACC in pts allowed defense. Notre Dame got the current ...

Agreed, the ladies were 13-point underdogs coming into this contest so big win by definition of the odds alone.
