Re: Play of the year so far?

I agree on the blocked FG being the most significant play of the year. But honorable mention goes to Kobe WilsonΓÇÖs pick six against FSU. That was a heck of a play.

Re: Where do you want to spend.....?

I live in the Phoenix area, so the Fiesta bowl would be great for me! :D

But honestly, I'd be happy to see the team playing in any new year's day bowl game.

Re: Visiting for the Pitt-SMU game... what should we do?

A trip to Dallas for an SMU game should include at least some of these:

The boulevard on gameday

Snuffers cheeseburger and cheddar fries

Campisi's pizza

Bush Library

Live music on Lower Greenville Ave or Deep Ellum

Re: Trip to Louisville!

Thanks for the report. Sounds like a great trip!
Being in Phoenix, every game is an away game for me, but I'm hoping I can make a
few over the next couple of years, once I finally reach retirement.

Go Ponies!

Re: The Athletic Anonymously Interviewed HS Recruits

I only know him from the interviews I've watched of him here and on You Tube, but I've always had the impression that he's about the most genuine coach with respect to his answering questions that I can remember in a long time.

Re: Poll - The Greatest Game In Which SMU Participated

No mention of the 1983 Cotton Bowl win against Pitt? That was a great game. Cold, but great.

That said, the 1980 20-6 upset of the horns is my number one.

Re: From "Big 12 insider" and "CFB expansion expert"

So I've been reading this "Big 12 insider" post; I have to say, I don't quite understand the rancor against froggiefever. I am an alumnus of SMU (freshman year was 79), and I am no fan of TCU. But I'm bothered by the treatment of FF. Seems like people take advantage of the anonymity of these boards ...

Re: Lashlee is a riverboat gambling IDIOT!

I absolutely agree with going for 2. You have to make a decision at some point to win the game. With a number of players looking like they were hurting, this was as good a time as any. I'm proud of Lashlee for having the guts to do it.

Re: Paul Finebaum's take on Chad Morris

Mrydel, yes, I did; it's on facebook. I wanted to hear everything in context. And I found Finebaum, as usual, to be well spoken, entertaining, pandering (as you said) etc... But that's irrelevant to my post, which was in regard to Finebaum's comment regarding Chad Morris (which happens at the 35:35 ...

Re: Paul Finebaum's take on Chad Morris

My issue is not that Paul Finebaum, or anyone, for that matter, has an opinion and expresses that opinion regarding whatever, including Chad Morris.
But I think there's a way to express an opinion without being what I thought Paul Finebaum was being, which was pandering and smarmy.
And I do think ...

Re: Paul Finebaum's take on Chad Morris

I'm not an apologist for Chad Morris, but I do wonder how many games Paul Finebaum has won as a head coach or offensive coordinator.

That doesn't preclude Finebaum from having an opinion; he's welcome to have and express it, as that is his job; but that kind of invective, spoken with an "off the ...

Re: Poll: Conference preference?

Long time reader, first time poster.

Based on everything I read (understanding that much is speculation for speculation's sake), it seems like the PAC and ACC are still likely to be poached. I'm not sure why we would want to be joining the remains of those poached conferences.

At the same time ...
