Re: PAC 12 Future Schedule
As someone who grew up a big SEC baseball fan, I would love for SMU to bring back baseball. I may be delusional even having this dream, but a early summer series at Oregon state would be awesome. Even though weΓÇÖd get killed by them probably every time

Re: PAC12 Scenario = Expansion
Do any of yΓÇÖall worry about the rug being pulled out from beneath us? I am QUITE cautiously optimistic if you can even call it that. I feel like this is going to fall through for some reason and we may need to slow our roll.

Re: PAC12 Scenario = Expansion
I could see a merger of some sort happening. I donΓÇÖt think itΓÇÖs a great idea for those schools unless the money is too much to turn down. Under the current expanded playoff rules, the amount of guaranteed playoff spots would decrease by one. Once the playoff expands, the PAC and big 12 are ...

EXACTLY. If any of us, God forbid, use that excuse then they are simply coping. Hopefully we just get in.

Re: PAC12 Scenario = Expansion
Mustangxc, I never said anything about BYU. I also said I understand that ND is in a completely different ballpark than us as well as 99% of CFB. I was simply arguing that there are not really any schools that the PAC would reject right now on religious grounds.

Re: PAC12 Scenario = Expansion
I am willing to bet everything I own that any supposed ΓÇ£religious connotationsΓÇ¥ (if you can even call it that) of SMU do not matter at all to the PAC. I am also skeptical of religious affiliations having any weight in PAC decisions that some are speaking of. That may have been true 2 years ago ...

Charleston Pony, is 40k the exact number? If not, does anyone know the exact or estimated capacity we are looking at?

Re: PAC12 Scenario = Expansion
BYU isnΓÇÖt terrible academically. #89 in US news rankings and IΓÇÖm fairly certain they have a solid law school. Definitely conservative but also got a really bad rap recently with that duke volleyball hoax. I think you might be unconsciously thinking of Boise state in regards to terrible academics ...

[quote="mustangxc"]PAC-12 doesn't want anything to do with the illiterate Bible beating hillbillies of the Big 12
WhatΓÇÖs wrong with God fearing people? Personally, IΓÇÖd rather be involved with ΓÇ£hillbilliesΓÇ¥ than some snarky twig at Stanford or cal. PAC would be great no matter what though.

Re: Football Transfer Portal '23
Question for those smarter than me...does the portal/recruiting success help our cause to move to a P5 conference?
It definitely does help. Two things. The players that we are getting have the ability to compete in the p5 which matters for parity. This especially goes for the defense. No ...

Looks like the big get that symons was foreshadowing is Coach Maurice Crum. Crum will be LBs coach and running game coordinator. He played LB at Notre Dame. Last year he served as co-defensive coordinator at Ole miss

Re: Football Transfer Portal '23
Scott Symons tweeted out this afternoon ΓÇ£big time addition coming soon (eyeballs emoji)ΓÇ¥. So it sounds like we will be getting a big fish for the defensive side of the ball. Any ideas?
