I would guess the field has changed since we played there in 1978. In 1978, there was plenty of room for a mascot included the Colorado one.
As to NCAA rules, well, we know how they are administered. Guess the NCAA would band Alabama's band from playing if the Tide was playing instead of SMU ...

Re: Mustang Band not allowed to play at Penn State?
Is this normal? See last point
So the SMU band has to travel 1,000 miles to the middle of nowhere and they are not allowed to play at all during the game?

Thanks again psu00, it was really nice of you to come on here and share this info!
No problem. I know SMU fans are making a long trip on short notice into unfamiliar territory. On top of that, you’re running into Pennsylvania winter. Wind chill during the game is predicted at 12-14 degrees. Too ...

3 quick questions to decide what’s best- Where are you staying? How much walking are you able to do? Are there any special places/ restaurants/ etc where you have reservations or that you plan to visit (ie are you staying in town or plan on hitting the area or the outskirts of town?).

Re: Welcome to anyone making the trip to Pennsylvania this w
I agree with SMU Pom Mom. Luckily there’s no rain in the forecast. It’s just cold but not too bad as it’s still in the 20s. Any minimal passing precipitation that falls would be snow. Much better than the rain.
I’m not sure what most of you are used to so at the risk of sounding obvious and ...

Anyone else staying in Harrisburg Friday night and planning to watch games and drink some beverages? I was thinking of going to one of the sports bars downtown near the Hilton, but wanted to see if any other fans were planning to do anything or there was anything formal planned. There are some ...

Which brewery makes the best stuff? New England IPA
I’ll build on this question. Looking for some place to eat on Friday night. Doesn’t have to be fancy. Prefer non-chain. Burger, pizza, etc., local-ish beer a plus. Just a good place to hang out and watch the first game.

Re: Welcome to anyone making the trip to Pennsylvania this w
Don’t know if I have the best answer for that. State College is a small college town with your usual restaurants that will all have a cheesesteak option. Can’t say I’ve ever heard a discussion on the best cheesesteak in town. Nothing beats the steaks in Philly. A lot involves the fresh bread and ...
