I think Phillips might have been slightly hurt coming into the season. His arm's throwing angle this season seemed much lower than last year on in high school this season. He looked as if he was shot putting the ball and not throwing it. Maybe he already had a slight injury and the hit in the TCU ...

Did some of yall not see the sorry third and short conversion attempts. We couldn't run on third and short and when it was third and long Tech blitzed the hell out of us. Phillips was running for his life on 3rd down half of the time. I remember one time when a Tech defensive lineman was hanging on ...

MrMustang1965,
I hate to tell you, but it's not 1965 anymore. No matter where the Cowboys move in the metroplex they will be the main attraction. We all have cars. I know plenty of people that travel from Dallas to see TCU play. I'm sure if we get our program going again people from everywhere will ...

Maybe Tech will get a little taste of what A$M went through last year when they went up to Norman. I wouldn't mind Stoops putting up about 100 on the Red Raiders.

I think we need to hold off on proclaiming Eckert the savior at quarterback. He doesn't have any mobility and will get the hell blitzed out of him. He is just a target back there. Now, if he shows he can make the blitz reads and get the ball delivered quickly it might work, but for now I think we ...

Secondary

I was at the game and I was really impressed with the secondary, especially our corners. They were out on an island all night and only go beat deep a couple of times for touchdowns. Even though I think one of the touchdowns in the south endzone during I believe the 3rd quarter was a definite ...

Leach was just trying to do at the end of the game what they couldn't really accomplish during the game, score. He was frustrated all night and thought he could take some of it out on our tired guys at the end of the game and make the score somewhat respectable for the sand aggies back in lubbock ...

That rant wasn't written by Jim Rome, but he did distribute/ publicize it. Supposedly someone called him or wrote him with it and he gave it his blessing and played it on his show. Thats how Rome got attached to it.

Last time I checked, football is a team sport and lasts 60 minutes. Maybe you meant Cardinals stadium. All I saw McCown do was throw the ball up for grabs and pray. The prayer was answered.

I don't know, but the new CUSA east doesn't strike me as so much more competitive than the west. East Carolina has been down for a few years, Memphis is a fluke, Southern Miss is solid, Marshall is really iffy to me, and UAB and UCF or whatever aren't such powerhouses. In the longrun, if anything ...

I'm not Japanese or Oriental, but I didn't find his comments so insensitive. I mean, its the truth that the Japs sure did surprise the hell outta us. I thought it was kind of creative. People are blowing this way out of proportion.

In tools, I'm referring to the facilites. When Ford and all the trappings that came with it were built there was no reason not to be able to recruit better. When we were playing in the Cotton Bowl and the WAC, I can understand difficulties in convincing someone to play at SMU. But that wasn't the ...

KnuckleStang, I agree with your theory that the disbanding of the SWC set us back. But, that doesn't mean that you have to go 0fer a season. Let's face it, Mike Cavan fell asleep at the wheel from a recruiting standpoint with the help of the administration. Before Ford stadium was built I can ...
