Mouton and Jones will be missed, but I heard DeLay is up to 280 these days. His first 3 games last season showed signs of success before his injury....we will see

I saw the same thing, Stallion. Givens went from a 5.4, two star player to a 5.5, three star player overnight. Maybe they really think that much of SMU and Coach Bennett's ability to evaluate talent.

More probable is tht afact it simply shows recruiting is VERY subjective and just how every coach ...

Research project for Stallion

Since your criteria for a resounding good recruiting class for SMU would be that 2/3 of the class would have a BS offer, can or will you please compile a list of non-BCS schools that would qualify as a "most certain" success?

Last time I looked at Rivals rankings, SMU was in 7th place among non ...

You'd be very pleasantly surprised at the TV ratings for SMU in Dallas. No facts readily available, but we do draw a bigger ratings number than most competition. Allumni numbers or total fans is a different can of worms...but TV is good for SMU.

It is my understanding, he needed to take the "scholly" offered by TCU as he was getting sqeezed out everywhere else. Good luck, Tyler. Glad you are staying in Texas.

we do get JUCO players that are required to "graduate" from JC. ( i.e. Haywood this year and the defensive tackle last year)

I think that would help, and I think he is trying his hardest...I predict he'll be about 275-280 starting next season, which would be nothing but help!

so it's the d-lines fault we are not winning? I'm not concerned, you need to re-evaluate your thinking.

okay...now lets get technical. DeLay is a tackle. Mouton, Bonds, Denman, Jones are nose. DeLay is starting as of now, with scout teamers behind him...I see him starting, no questions asked. At nose, the last time Mouton played (during practice, only) he got moved to O-line. Furthemore, Mout0n didn't ...

I'm with DallasDieHard

We have seen D. Jone's potential...it's great. In the case of DeLay, when healthy, as in the first 3 games, he lead D-line in tackles...interesting stat! I'm really excited to see the potential of these two on the line next to eachother.

JUCO's

DeLay is ready to start in the fall, D. Jones, will hopefully be ready to, but if not, we do have Bonds...I feel pretty confident with DeLay and Bonds starting...no questions asked.

In reference to the DT situation....from what I've heard, Lucky DeLay is 99% back from his ankle problem, and the broken hand will be fully healed by January. As of now, he is number one on the depth chart. I think he is a great pick for next season, he did lead D-line in tackles the first 3 games ...
