Re: Seeking info on the Big D
PK...I will definitely check out the tailgating. A cold one on a hot day will be a must. We'll be doing a tailgate function somewhere on campus that our Alumni Assoc. is sponsoring. I think it is in an area where the corporate tents and such are set up. I appreciate the insight you guys have given ...

Re: Seeking info on the Big D
stangster...I expect a much closer game than last year as well. I really haven't had a chance to read a lot about SMU yet, but I know that we have a few holes to fill, especially at WR and SS. Some of our fans are expecting a blowout, but early in the year and playing at home, I expect SMU will play ...

Re: Seeking info on the Big D
PK...Thanks for the info. I have heard that the Greenville area is the hot spot in Dallas, so we will probably have some folks that venture down that way.
Who knows what will happen on that Saturday, but as any good fan would, I expect to head back to Raleigh with a smile on my face. http: ...

Re: Seeking info on the Big D
Thanks for the info stangster. Is the Belt Line Rd you mention Dallas Parkway? That is the road where the hotel is located. I would assume that most of the places you mentioned are a reasonable cab ride from the hotel since most of our group is flying in and won't have transportation except to/from ...

Seeking info on the Big D
My company is bringing down a group of NC State fans for the game on Sept. 22, and I am looking for some restaurant recommendations. Our group is staying at the Marriott Quorom, and I would to know what the good places to eat are in that area.
Thanks in advance for your help, and I am looking ...

Re: Game Updates
I will have to say that I thought SMU played better than the score would indicate. dot dot hit it right on the head about the three int's that McCown threw. Each throw hit the receivers right in the hands only to have them bounce off and into the hands of our defenders.
I will also add that your ...

Re: SMU vs NC State
Ray Robinson, our TB, was ACC Rookie of the Year two years ago. He played with an assortment of nagging injuries last year and suffered a bit of a "sophmore slump" as a result. He has tremendous potential, and one of the main concerns that our coaching staff has with his play is that he doesn't know ...

Re: How is N.C. State's defense?
Our defense has been a bit of a disappointment to date; however, they have been able to come up with the big stop when we had to have it. Against Arkansas St. we stopped them three times inside the two yard line in the last three minutes to set up the drive that lead to OT, and against Indiana we ...

Re: Secondary concerns
You will have the opportunity to find out quite a bit about your secondary this weekend. We put the ball in the air constantly (over 100 passes in two games), so the DB's will be busy. Our QB, a true freshman, leads the nation in total offense, and our top receiver is 6th in the country in both ...

Re: Question for N.C. State fans
I in all honesty don't know quite what to expect out of NC State or SMU come Saturday. Our defense has yet to slow anyone down and SMU has posted some pretty impressive offensive numbers in their two games this year. Does this mean another shootout Saturday night? Conventional wisdom would say yes ...
