mffl - your absolutely wrong - Hop has very good court vision. Hes sacrificing, again, by playing the 2. Plus, as sensible smu fans know, his teammates cannot catch his passes.

The scouts regard him higher than this board thinks - not saying he will play in the nba, but theres a decent chance.

there are many ways to gauge a player's interest without "recruiting". the opportunity was there, its really not a big deal. I just mentioned it to add to the debate of whether or not he could play at TX. IMO, he would have been a great addition - Barne's only problem in his tenure to date has been ...

Im not sure if your being sarcastic, but transferring to another program is not a violation of any means. yes, I have personal knowledge.

in addition to recruiting Hop out of high school, Rick Barnes tried to get him to transfer there two years ago. Hop didnt want to sit out a year - youve got to feel for this kid - hes a very unselfish person.

great point ponydawg.

imo, Tubbs substitutions have been terrible. he subs way too much - our best lineup (the starters) never get enough consecutive minutes to develop a strong rhythm. I hope tubbs proves he can recruit, because his lack of coaching ability is indisputable

Its hard for BHOP to show his arsenal when you have a coach who expects you to run a silly offense that clogs up the middle and involves a lot of wasted movement and time by way of double screens at the top of the key - what the hell are these screens suppose to produce?- it does not take a freaking ...

PF -

I think so - but I say Pearson instead of Killen. And one stipulation, Bamba is the only player allowed to sit on the block.

jasonb -
the reason we cant penetrate is because of the fact that Tubbs keep two ineffective, at scoring at least, big men on the blocks. Our guards our definitely quick enought to penetrate on anyone - its just that there is no room - for this, we cant thank the Brainless coach who forces a style ...

not surprised at the delusion on this board; Hop would be playing point if his teammates could play at half the speed he does; Having to play to the level of his teammates combined with the Tubb's decision to allow Rack and Killen to play and/or touch the ball is what makes him look "uncomfortable ...

I only listened to the game on the radio but the reason SMU came up short seems obvious. Our strength is our backcourt (hop, dez, roberts) and it sounded like our big men were shooting the ball (if not turning it over) everytime they got it. this team needs to run, run, run. And our big men need to ...

Eaststang,

To answer your question as to how tubbs is percieved by the AAU community - they think he is not the caliber of a head coach, and the coach of a very well known aau team here told me he is worst than dement. I cant believe SMU hired this guy as head coach

Friar/peruna/charleston,

In Ross's only year with bhop, Q posted his highest number of shot attempts in his career by a large margin; Q also posted his highest scoring average that year; and nearly equaled his best shooting % despite the record number of shots. This means: Hop helped Q reach his ...
