I'd rather have Dewayne on the floor. However, Dewayne needs to be a big boy and actually give a damn. Tell him, from Mullet Mike, to hit the weights, get a low post move, stop jacking up bombs, and work on being a mature talent his last year.
Instead of bashing the other big guys for being no ...

Re: SMU Over rated?
We were overrated w/o question. We brought back everyone minus our 4yr PG. We added two kids who will be excellent players. Unfortunately, VOC was hurt very early and never got his wheels back. Yes, jacked up some impressive bombs, but he has another gear.

Re: Am I the only one...
Houston, the biggest joke is you thinking we had talent to go to the Sweet Sixteen. LOL! Do you watch the college or high school game?
Better yet, go to the AP top 20 and see how many of our players would get big PT on those teams. Hancock may see the floor as a back-up 2 and Sas would play ...

Re: Mullet Mike is astounded....
The talent on this team is NOT great. The talent on Arizona is great. This is a top 2 or 3 WAC club, not a Top 10 national juggernaut. Pre-season publications mean jack. They see who left, who comes back, and who comes in. Its prognostication. SMU returns everyone minus Woods, and adds two Top 200 ...

Mullet Mike is astounded....
by the lack of faith in our current staff and head man. You people act like Rome was built in a day. The talent level on this team is good, not great. Tubbs and co., each year, add to the concoction w/better athletes, positional players, and students.

Re: SMU B-Ball Futre
The aforementioned praise is deserved yet humbling. Mullet Mike only knows what he knows and nothing more.
Here is what I know of Mr. Kris Lowe. Despite his awkward release point, his shot doesn't need reconstruction. Unlike Sas, Lowe has an eye. The mechanics don't help, but its compensated for ...

Re: SMU B-Ball Futre
when Mullett Mike speaks of the future, he does so w/great zeal. For you see, the staff has aligned a premier grouping of talent that makes hoops the only bright future of the revenues. The breakdown and why follows.
What we lose: Sas and Willie
What we gain: Castro, Simpson, Isham, Miller
Ok ...

Re: Calling Simpson and Castro
Mullet Mike will only reveal that he is a grad. Also, Mike is involved in AAU ball and has many basketball ties both regionally and nationally. If Mike comments on a player, Mike has seen the player. Otherwise, it will be noted or expressly implied. Thanx for the inquiry.

Re: Calling Simpson and Castro
ponytalk, Eric Castro is a big-bodied kid w/excellent hands and a few low post moves already. He may well provide the bulk. Simpson was too good a player/athlete to pass up. I'm sure the staff would have liked Erek hansen in the pivot along side Castro. His commitment to Iowa, and Simpson being the ...

Re: Calling Simpson and Castro
Have you gys ever seen simpson? I have and he's not the answer on the blocks, at all. in fact, he is a soft PF in high school. Kid has a world of talent, sadly, its all at the small forward slot.
