Allan,
Great advice on stopping Navy's option. Perhaps you could have written this a little earlier and had it added to the scouting report.

Letterman's Golf Tournament

Has anyone heard any plans about the Letterman's Tournament this spring? I know Bennett had been the one to get this kicked off, and hadn't heard if Jones was going to pick it up. Never a dull moment at this thing.

The Pig Run is without a doubt one of the best recruiting tools we had at SMU. During the Rossley / Cavan era, that event was scheduled into the weekend for recruits. I'm not sure if the "Pigs" still take the abuse from the guys with water guns and what ever else they could throw, but I belive we'd ...

Green Bracelet

Is Coach Jones making a statement that SMU is "Going Green", or is that a Hawai'i Bracelet he's wearing in all his pictures? Great Hire, excited to see where we're headed.

Orsini was out of town?

There may be nothing to this, but did anyone else think it was odd that DMN reported that Orsini was out of town and not available for comment? AD's typically don't leave town for home games. If this was already discussed, sorry.

Yes, I'm what most consider new to the message boards, but I've been a long time reader, with a little more inside than most of you will ever know. You seem to make sense at times and your appreciation of the Rossley/Cavan recruit/players shows even further you REAL knowledge of who things used to ...

on defense I still say the 2005 had more talent than 2006 which had more talent than 2007. 2005 was our best team-last year was simply a mirage built against a creampuff schedule.

Stallion, you further prove my point about our D. How bout the days when we had Jacoby Rhienhart, Donald Mitchell ...

Pressure on AD

We've all heard this speech on, "Top 25 This, and Top 25 That". I figure the best way for him to buy some time is to give us something other than a bunch of slap assistants and a bully head coach. How long is Orsini going to make us wait for these standards?

Re: Phil Bennett is a good man

A good d-coordinater but not a head coach.

Call it micro-managing, call it lack of experience call .. what you will.

Phill Bennett has brought the best talent to SMU since the DP.

Thank you PB for working your best. Do we need to get some Faculty Senate support? - Yes we do. Do we need some ...

Perfect Example - USF vs. WVU

Here's the quick history for those who where not aware of USF's progress. I for one feel extremely cheated in that they were still a 1-AA when I was a part of our ONLY winning season. See the below.

There has been unprecedented growth in the school's football program. USF began football play as ...

No one said hire a new coach. I simply said i'm tired of hearing the same old whinny [deleted] pep talk talk. We haven't recruited tuff players and we don't practice tuff. If you do the math, it adds up just as you saw it tonight. A TCU Team who is trying to give the game away and we can't take.

Re: WAKE UP!

What is wrong with so many of you on this board? Good Coaches win those types of games. All this, "We'll get 'em next time" is like hearing a bunch of liberals talk and it makes me want to slam my head into a wall.

It is unbelievable as to how blind some of these guys are. I guess losing for such ...
