Re: Recruits at the game on Saturday
I agree, the coaches at SMU have no clue how to develope or motivate talented new players. Especially when they change them to new positions, the coachs just expect that they will be great at hard to learn spots like MLB. Recently, they lost a few walk ons that love the game of football and had ...

2001 schedule addition?
Since we have two open dates available we should consider playing the following teams.
Sept. 29 Oklahoma State, Navy
Oct. 20 Arkansas, Purdue, Washington State, or Miami
We don't need two weeks off during the season. My favorite would be Oklahoma State or Arkansas since the SMU fans can ...

SMU vs K-State
This is a great opportunity for SMU to show some of their talent on national T.V. And yes, we do have some great talent. Our defense is a great starting point since this is our strength, lets show it. We now have depth on defense in all positions. My take would be that we alternate subbing positions ...

Re: Impressive weight room results
Rumor that redshirt freshman LB Brett Mason was very impressive with bench just behind Vic and routinely benching more weight during scheduled workouts. Heard his speed is fast for LB. Good to hear of new players which add to SMU depth. Anymore, like to hear.

Training Table Approved
This topic must become a reality at SMU, especially football. I am challenging those of you on this board that have influence, please make it happen now, not next year. If we can build a stadium, surely the challenge of a simple cafeteria is achievable. There is no possible way to achieve ...

Re: Scholarships
Do we have extra scholorships to grant due to the departure of McCowan, Murphy and a scholorship freshman that left the program last fall? Hopefully, we have a few scholorships to give out to a few walk ons that show potential and leadership!
Re: Redshirts
Last season is over, 2001 is here and its great to start talking about the new season ahead, especially the redshirts and experienced players. Most new recruits will not be an impact for 1-2 years. What walk-on redshirts from last season offer some promise? We've heard about the logical scholarship ...
