Re: Offensive Line
I think that the argument about Sterling and Townsend is mute, as they are not playing the same position. One is a tackle, and one is a guard. Sterling doesn't need Townsend to "fire him up." And for the record, Townsend IS strong enough to bench press the Doak Walker statue and neither has a ...

Re: Townsend Hargis
I think that any of the players that subject themselves to 2-a-days and daily practices and lifting sessions would qualify as doing SOMETHING. The amount of playing time is moot.
It does not suprise me, however, that you would continue to make statements that are obviously ment to tear down ...

Re: Townsend Hargis
Again, facts wrong. He has a jersey. He has two. And they have his name on them and everything.
Or you could just lend one of yours, I am sure its in good shape due to lack of use.
One more point....he has taken a snap. Check your record book.

I am not his mom. You can look for her under the quite obvious name of SMU70MOM.
But I think that you should remember that parents, family, and friends are who mainly view this site and it is unnecessary and very classless to make comments that degrade kids that are doing nothing but working ...

Re: Townsend Hargis
I don't recall ever saying anything about All-American. And my relationship to him is inconsequential. The information I posted is factual.
I think that before you make ridiculous statements like "believe me I can take a hit from him" you should have all the correct info, otherwise you sound ...

Re: Townsend Hargis
Not to mention that #70 was a practice at 2:41 in the afternoon. Not possible for him to be 2 places at once! Can't hit and type at the same time.

Re: Townsend Hargis
I don't have enough finger and toes to count the number of errors in your obviously delerious statement M-MAVERICK. I'm not sure how you figure 6'4 280 to be undersized, but if you were man enough toa take a hit from him, you would know he is in no way UNDERSIZED.

Re: I hate to do this...
You are missing Towsend in your little line up. He will take over for Joey S.
There is no need to get down on them yet. There is also a red shirt freshman that has quite a bit of promise according to the talk on the field. I think his name is Eric Neal. There appear to be quite a few true freshman ...

Re: Townsend Hargis
I have to set ya'll straight one more time.
Townsend is currently playing TE because they needed him. One of the starting TEs was injured and they have one player they want to redshirt so Townsend was chosen for his talent and his willingness to help the team any way he can. He currently is a ...

Re: D-LINE & LB RECRUITING
We need to set the record straight. When Townsend Hargis was recruited he weighed in at 285+. He lost a little baby fat and is currently working to put back on more muscle and is back up to 270+. I don't need to wait for the updated roster. I know this for a fact. I also know that by the time the ...

Re: Question for BUS
Ponytalk,
I don't think that 6-5 300 is the best option when dealing with the upcoming defensive lines. The main example of that flaw in thinking is Sterling Harris. He is 6-7 and 300 plus and can't move to save his life. He doesn't have the speed and he is so slow off the ball that the guys blow ...

Re: Question for BUS
Hey Ponytalk,
Just a little more info on Townsend Hargis. He does not lack size. He is 6-4 260 on his way back up to 280. He is faster than any of the other O line guys and has better feet than anyone they have had playing for them since the death pentalty was lifted. Watch him a little closer ...
