I know that Pete Carroll was 5th choice or something. But after this search being so private and quiet, and then possibly being turned down very publicly twice - it's got to weigh in any potential coach's decision.

I can't help but wonder is this isn't all agent-induced BS. June Jones has been around. He knows what he plans to do.

I wouldn't be surprised if Jones had a change of heart. I don't doubt that he fully intended to come to SMU. But the guilt trip/outpouring of love for him has to be tough ...

I don't take pleasure in other people's misery - I kind of feel bad for him. If he doesn't have an ulcer, I'd be surprised.

Anybody notice that they didn't say if that was Jones LEAVING Hawaii or leaving Dallas? I didn't really pay close enough attention to see where it was - but there was not date/time stamped on that video.

It very well could have been him on his way to Dallas.
