I wouldn't say more exciting, just different styles.

It usually is, if I am not mistaken.

Thanks, I can't wait to watch.

Honestly.... nobody cares outside of Hawaii and people from SMU.

And this one guy in Georgia!

As disappointed as I was when PJ picked Georgia Tech, I'm that excited for you guys now with JJ. I may have to go get an SMU hat soon.

As most know, I'm biased towards PJ as he was the coach at my school in the late 90s, early 2000s and I can say he's a fantastic coach, but so is JJ. If he can win at Hawaii where there were obvious limitations, then he should be successful at a school that has made a commitment to the football ...

Congrats from Georgia

I know it was a long, long, LONG wait, but it appears SMU has landed June Jones as their coach. Congrats and hopefully the wait has paid off with a WOW hire.

Thanks again for being so hospitable to an outsider from a 1-AA school. Good luck this season and I'll be checking back.

The longer he waits, the more likely emotion will take over (see: Donovan, Billy re: University of Florida - not a perfect example, but it gets the point across).

Hopefully JJ realizes Hawaii won't match the facilities upgrades he's wanted for years and will sign at SMU and not go back to Hawaii ...

PJ's offense at GT will look a lot like WVU's offense now that he'll have access to the Pat White's of the world. Pat White didn't get many offers to play qb (was going to go to LSU as a d back). The qb that de-committed from GT was a pro style qb - only logical he's not going there and just a ...

can you imagine if he brought his offense to West Virginia? i think he could make it to the national title game with White and Slaton. he's a fool for going to GT

The WVU gig wasn't open at the time.

A lot of PJ's staff was with him at Georgia Southern as well (in fact, the new O-line coach ...

I think a 16-team playoff would be big enough. Let's be honest, does anyone think the 17th or 24th ranked team could win it all? Maybe in a fluke year, but the top 16 is plenty to determine a champion.

At the other levels in the NCAA, the preliminary rounds are held on campus and then the ...

WF has about 4,000 undergraduate students, so about 2/3 the size of SMU. But they are in a BCS conference.

Wake is a great model for the private schools. Other than USC, BC and maybe Miami, who can you name with more recent success? Among the BCS players, certainly not: Notre Dame, Stanford ...

My guess is that SMU should be pulling for a Hawaii victory for the reason that Jones will have, essentially, achieved everything he could at Hawaii with a win. He'd have an undefeated season and a win in a BCS bowl. The likelihood of playing in the BCS title game at a non-BCS conference is so small ...
