Re: The constant whining about attendance is a BEATING!

This year, far more than ever before, has shown that we present a great family outing opportunity. People are coming and bringing their kids...think back to all the kids you've seen in the stadium and on the hillside. The weather on Saturday put a temporary halt to that.

I was told before the game ...

Uh, her comment was about last week's crowd, and so was mine.

If you can't see that our support is building, slowly but surely, you're not paying attention.

Re: DMN: new Kate article today

I generally like Kate's work, but she did manage to overlook Fall Break, the Rangers, four other college games, etc. Plus, she has to know that unlike many programs (read TCU), Orsini doesn't fudge the numbers.

Also, it did not escape my notice that the summer coverage of the admissions fiasco ...

Re: SMU Athletics Admission Review Results

This would have made a difference in Jackson's case.

Bottom line...significant, meaningful, (and overdue) progress. Great work by Orsini, Wollman, Kupchynsky, Cecil, and many others.

Be pleased.

Field Turf has a nine to ten year useful life.

Time for a change out.

Re: Orsini's contract

Right. Eric Dickerson made the deal happen, kept it under wraps for 71 days, and took all the slings and arrows that people, and the press, could throw his way during that period.

Oh, and Eric had the idea of the Circle of Champions and raised all that money in two weeks.

June called Eric, and ...

Re: Orsini's contract

Steve Orsini is, unquestionably, vital to the continued success of SMU Athletics. I have been involved with SMU for too many years to count, and I am firmly of the opinion that he is the best, and most effective, A.D. that we've had. Orsini brought us June Jones...can you put into perspective what ...

Re: Let's be painfully honest here guys and girls...

Let's not overlook this...

Today, we were physically (and by experience) overmatched. Still, June had us in a position to win the game late.

Very, very good things lie ahead. We're on our way.

So, take it from someone who knows.

I was yet another observer, standing in the rain, watching practice nine days ago. Frank walked by and couldn't resist thanking me for just being there.

I talked to him a handful of times over the last 14 months, and to do so was always a joy. He really loved his troops, and, man oh man, did he ...

The most dominant player on the field today was Taylor Thompson. Bradley Haynes also impressed.

Bo may be the real deal.
