When he is selected over Top 10 coaches with National championship experience then he had better perform immediately. He also knows most of the players already and IIRC was given credit with recruiting the new players. No honeymoon here- just win baby!!!

....One thing that made Coach McClements' performance at Vanderbilt even more impressive is that he accomplished everything with just over 2 scholarships to divide among his entire team. That is some serious recruiting skill at a school that's just as expensive (if not moreso) as SMU.
